Nature’s Drugstore Healthy Pores Review

I’ve suffered from Acne since being a teenager – I’m now approaching 30 and have tried various products from prescription to over the counter, plus watching what I eat – it can be sole destroying having a teenage problem as an adult, yet you don’t get any sympathy as it’s ‘just spots’ (any acne sufferers out there will know that this just isn’t the case. It’s painful, embarrassing and annoying).

skin careWhilst the prescribed products do work at reducing the acne, I find that my skin dries out which in turn results in my face looking flaky and can be quite sore – defeating the object really!?

I came across Healthy Pores from Nature’s Drugstore after trying to find products that use natural alternatives to Benzoyl Peroxide (the ingredient that dries my skin out) and to be honest I wasn’t expecting much in the way of results as whenever I use products without Benzoyl Peroxide they are never all that effective. However, I was intrigued by the fact that this included a natural supplement designed ‘to rid you of acne from within’. As I am fully aware that acne problems start from problems within the body (which is why I’m careful what I eat) this seemed like a good product to try.

The first week of use didn’t make a vast amount of difference – but what I did notice was that my skin wasn’t drying out, but the spots were still there, and I was still having new outbreaks.

I persevered past week two, and noticed that the outbreaks were decreasing. So now, not only was my skin not drying out, I was now seeing less new outbreaks – a definite improvement.

As my acne is quite severe, I never expect results within a week or two, so by now I was feeling quite positive about the product. The facial wash and cream are both really good products, they don’t feel like they are damaging your skin like so many of the strong prescription drugs I’ve used, and they even smell nice.

Anyway, I ran out of the supplement before I ran out of the wash and cream– so although I ordered a new batch and continued to use the face products in the meantime, I was without the supplement. Within a few days I had a fresh outbreak – not as severe as I’ve seen in the past, but it seems to show just how important the supplement is to actually getting on top of this problem.

After a couple of days I had my new order (thankfully!) and I’ve now been using Healthy Pores for just over 2 months. I’m so impressed by this, which is why I’ve taken the time to write a review – It’s taken me years to find something that actually works, and I’m convinced that using a natural supplement along with products that don’t make your skin suffer by drying it out, has to be the right solution (well it is for me anyway).

All my friends and family have commented on how well I look, and how clear my skin is. My confidence has improved and I no longer have my hair hanging over my face to try and hide away.

I would suggest anyone that has a bad acne problem, particularly if Benzoyl Peroxide doesn’t agree with them as in my case, gives this product a try – but a real try, don’t expect to be clear overnight as your body takes time to absorb the ingredients in the supplement. I saw no unwanted side effects, just an improvement in my skin.

Nature’s Drugstore actually offer a 60 day money back guarantee, so even if you don’t see the results like I have, there’s no danger in you losing out – although from my experience I wouldn’t have thought you’d need this, and I found their customer services team very helpful (when I was desperate for my second order to arrive!)
