My personal review of Task Notice

Brief overview: Task notice is an online Intranet specifically created for organizations with less than 50 staff. Its biggest strength, as claimed by its creators, is its ease of use while still being packed with extremely useful features that everyone will use.

Task Notice is meant to allow organizations to manage people, tasks, messages, private mail, reminders, whiteboards, teamwork, projects, contacts, documents, information & communication…all online.

Here’s my experience of Task Notice. By the way, you can try it yourself as they do offer instant demo online – link is at the bottom of this review.

Task Notice creators claim that it takes 60 seconds to set up a new account and only 7 minutes on average to master using it. I must admit I was very skeptical of such a claim. My past experiences with learning how to use any Intranet or project management interface has always been a nightmare. But Task Notice has really nailed it with this claim. It really is very easy to use. I grasped the gist of it within seconds. So ten out ten for this claim.

Next I added my first employee (James) to Task Notice. That was a breeze. Minutes later James logged on and I posted him a private mail regarding his performance review. I was using Task Notice already! Then I proceeded to add all other staff members. All good so far.

I then posted a message welcoming everyone onboard. The message interface was really easy to use. I proceeded to assign some tasks to my accounts clerk. The task interface alone makes it worth every penny. You just gotta see it. It’s really easy to use and keeps everything centralized.

Man, I was really liking Task Notice.

Now I was hooked and mentally committed to using this unbelievably easy Intranet. So I uploaded our commonly used forms to the ‘Documents’ section. Next I added all our contacts to the ‘Contacts’ page. I noticed that I could also create my company policies and FAQ lists and add it for everyone to access. The more I explored it, the better it got.

I was so impressed with all the interfaces I’d used so far that I thought that was enough for now. I had yet to play with the Reminders and Whiteboards section. Perhaps I’d hit those when I have the need to use them.

In summary, Task Notice rocks! It’s like nothing out there. It’s very simple and easy to use but packed with very useful features.

One small downside: it’s not a fully-fledged Project Management interface. I say this because you cannot invite non-staff members (such as clients) to view certain areas of Task Notice. But it’s perfect for all internal use and internal project management.

I like everything about Task Notice but the feature I really enjoyed is the homepage. It streams all the activities (tasks, messages & comments) that’s taken place over the past four days. Just glancing at the homepage gives me an excellent overview of what’s happening in my organization. There is also a favorites column at the homepage for adding and showing your favorite reminders, tasks and people. It just gets better!

If you want to increase your organizations productivity and have a centralized place for information distribution, I urge you to start using Task Notice ASAP.

I tried an instant demo and then registered for a free 7-day trial. They didn’t even ask for my credit card details. I subscribed on the second day of my free trail. My subscription cost $49.95 per month and allows me to have 10 members in my account (I can add more members by adding more plans if I wanted to).

It’s been THE best money I’ve spent in a very long time. Now it’s your turn.
